Hello everyone!
I've always been a crazy dog-lady, and ever since I first learned about Corsos several years ago, I just thought they were the most beautiful dogs. It was a dream of mine to own one.
I currently have a pit mix, and Draki, my CC, a black brindle. He was adopted from a local shelter, who told me they thought he was a Neo/pit bull mix. While Draki is handsome, sweet, and has a typical CC personality and is a fantastic guard dog, he's definitely pet quality, not show quality. Part of this is because, unfortunately, the shelter also told me they thought he was 10 - 12 months old, when he was actually around 4 -5 months old. Per their policy, he had to be neutered before being adopted out, and that early neutering has definitely affected his growth.
He is tall and gangly, with very thin back legs (I worry that he'll never fill out), and for a CC, a narrow skull. I love him dearly anyway, lol.
Because I thought he was part Neo, I started doing a lot of in-depth research on the breed, but quickly realized he was a Corso and not a mix at all.
I've owned all sorts of dogs throughout my life, but I especially love CCs. Within the next few years, I am looking to acquire a third dog to our little pack.
I have an idea in my head of the PERFECT dog, my dream dog, so I hope to find one soon.
Looking forward to keeping up with things here!
