I am an aspiring dog trainer from Howard County Maryland. I work for my mom Karen Decker, with P.U.P.S Dog Obedience Training. She has been training dogs in our area and surrounding areas for over twenty years. We specialize in high drive working breeds of any category, temperament issues of any kind, including anxiety, low confidence stemming from abuse or genetics, and aggression of any kind. Our personal passion is the guardian breeds of course. I have only been training professionally for about a year, but have been around dogs all my life, especially guardian breeds. At ten years old i trained a 100 pound plus male American Bulldog for his elderly owners who could barely control him. Also at ten i was able to handle my mom's male rottie/lab mix, he was a big boy 100 pounds of muscle, also with very, very sharp defense drive ( he was all rottie temperament wise). I was able to take him for walks in our neighborhood by myself, and work him in demos. In the past year i have fallen in love with the mastiff breeds, the Cane's and Presa's in particular. I have minimal knowlege of the Canes, we have trained a few but not many. I dont own my own dog yet but will be looking for a female Cane in a year or so. The one in my profile pic is a dog that we trained and i was fortunate enough to forge a strong bond with, he is a wonderful dog. I look forward to learning about this wonderful breed, on this forum.
