Introduction
« on: December 07, 2007, 08:56:59 PM »
My name is Scott Manning.  After two years of searching, I have finally found an amazing cane corso breeder.  Our family is very excited to welcome our new family member.  I still have a lot to learn about the breed and this forum seems like it would be a great source of information.  I am having difficulty selected the puppy of our choice from the litter, any suggestions on pick it would be greatly appreciated.  The litter pics are at www.madrivercanecorso.com

Congrats scott! Where are you located?

I love Darrel's new litter, they are amazing. Are you picking a boy or a girl? I think the type of corso (show, pet, working, etc.) would help dictate which puppy would be the best for you and your family.

Look forward to seeing pics of you new lil corso puppy. welcome again.

We are looking at show quality males and think our choice may be between Clyde and Copper depending on breeder as they get first choice and we will get second.

Yeah from what I've  seen I think Darrel wants Cuzco  ;D

He should be able to give you an idea on which one will be best in that area ;)

As far as "problems" go, that would be a good one to have ;D.  Congratulations on your new pup, and they all look great!

Scott !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad you could make it to the forum. I am sure you will love it hear. As far as the pups go, either Clyde or Copper. They are all really nice pups though. At this point my favorite one is Cuzco. Enjoy the forum. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Are you going to actively show him, or are you looking for the best possible dog from the litter?  This could make the difference between your choices easier.

I am so excited to join this forum and receive the wonderful comments in regards to our new addition.  Even though we have not entered the "show" circuit before, I am so proud of this breed and litter/bloodline that it would be an injustice not to learn more down this avenue.  We are even toying with the idea of looking a female pup to eventually breed.

Welcome Scott. I believe that your breeder can help you choose the pup that would best suit you and your familiy's needs. I'm sure that temperments will be outstanding. Show quality isn't always just a look so trust Darrel as he has seen these pups in action from day 1. you'll be pleased either way. Welcome again.

Welcome to this forum.   I have found Nancy's forum to be the most objective and informative forum in the Internet world.

What I admire about your breeder is that he makes combinations according to matches he feels will produce the best pups.   My husband and I appreciate any breeder that puts forth that effort.   He visits each kennel personally to evaluate the dog prior to any decision/mating.

I suggest you allow your breeder to pick out the pup that is best suited to your needs.

Best regards and wecome to the Corso Community.
