Great looking pups!

Quick question- I noticed that Caio is something like 14 months old? Is it normal or ok
to use a young stud?  Are there any issues or does it only apply to females being too young?

Every country has diferent reglemenst.
In Italy is any age minimum (even for the females), in Spain is 12 months minimum (male or female), in Czech republic is minimum for a female 18 months...

Personaly I use female on the 3 heat time and the males- when they are ready (around 12-15 months) as soon they learn this, they are after better reproductors :)

:P In Spain is 12 months for females, but is 9 months for males. In fact, the first litter of Glam matting was did when he was 10 months... and the same for Zephyr.

For example in Italy the oficial hips score you can make whit dog 12 months old.
In Germany 15 months old.

My vet is also a oficial hips score vet, but I prefer to send to other after the xray, because after noody can say, that my vet make for me "better" result, but always she can say me, which score I can wait and in 99% she has true..

I dont know how is in Spain, but for me the finaly result is in theorie not so important! If the dog is finaly A or B, or B or C... For me is important see self the xray and take the discusion whit my vet aout the xray, if is laxit or if is not enough round, or if is realy nice...

Im used very oeftly the dog before oficial hips result, Im wait sometimes very long time for to got oficial result back and important is, that Im see before the xray and my vet told me her oponion, which Im absolut respect! The finaly "papers" whit the result is just for the new clients.. For me personaly is more important what Im realy see.

And for that we also do pre-hips sometimes.
The result of a dog at 10 months is not very different than at 12 months.

But if you ask why the kennel allow to do breedings with a 9 months old dog, it is because in Spain the kennel don't care about displasia. Even you can't have the results in the pedigree, and the other breeders look at you like if you like spend money for nothing.

Nice looking gang Sarka ;D

How many dogs do you have in your kennel at the momemnt?

The dog is a friend and its great values are not in the body, but in the spirit!

They are built like little tanks or bulldozers.  Very Cool!
