ANY "PED HEADS" OUT THERE?
« on: June 06, 2007, 12:06:52 AM »
There is an Italian Corso goes by the name "Priamo" supposedly Sch titled...I've contacted a few people who I thought were the owners requesting pedigree info...no responses except I did have someone say he is an unregistered dog ie: a bandog...my real interest is to see any pups he's sired (I believe he is now 10yr old) and find out if he throws his "famed" work ethic.

Many thanks to anyone who can offer insight/info

This will probably be moved to working but I have a question about the video and some of the work.

Watching towards the beginning, when the decoy releases the sleeve and the handler still has control of the dog, shouldn't the dog drop the sleeve and still try and get the decoy? The reason I ask is, say someone attacked you and your dog attacked that person but pulled there jacket off or ripped there sleeve off, wouldn't you want your dog to still go after that person instead of pay attention to there clothing? I can't hear if the dog is being given commands to not do that but I'm curious.

Hi Sarena,

Would you please be so kind to post a proper introduction of yourself, so we know who we are talking to?
I am a ped head ;D But where is this Priamo located? The name rings a bell. But a US bell..... Maybe it is a name that is used more often.

Joe,
Since Sarena did not introduce herself, I can not move this post or she would not be able to see anything on the forum again. So please Sarena, make a new post with an introduction!

The dog in the video is demonstrating a proper schutzhund scenario...the sleeve is the reward and is only slipped when "the fight" is over...if a schutzhund trained dog spits the sleeve and goes to attack a passive decoy, it is a severe fault.  There are many schutzhund scenarios that are not applied to civilian protection training methods for obvious reasons but try to remember that schutzhund was designed as a breed suitability test.  This dog "Priamo" is supposedly a SCH III which is a very difficult thing for the traditional breeds to achieve let alone a Corso...which is why I am trying to find out the pedigree of this dog as well as any of his offspring!  I'm starting to think the titles may be bought and no traceable pedigree exists, why else would not a soul step up to claim the dog!

PS- This dog resides in and I'm to assume was bred and raised in Italy, and is currently 9-10yrs old.
